Zak Morgan Entertains Children of UC Community

Acclaimed children’s musician Zak Morgan recently brought his unique style to UC Clermont where he entertained kids thorough story and song. Morgan, a Cincinnati native, performed in the Krueger Auditorium as part of the Calico Children’s Theatre’s “Yellow Bus Series” to the UC community audience, including their children.

Throughout his time on stage, he performed several of his hit songs including “Funny Farm,” from his 2010 CD titled “The Candy Machine.” At one point during the show, Morgan encouraged children to come down to the front of the stage to meet Marty, his “pet” bullfrog puppet; he even encouraged kids to practice their croaks along with Marty.  Since it was a kid-centric show, the entire event was very interactive and motivational, teaching kids to never give up and try their best.

The multi-talented Zak Morgan, who has been entertaining families since the early 1990’s, has been writing songs since the third grade. Early on, Morgan developed a keen interest in literature and eventually worked for a publisher of children’s books after graduating college. During his professional career, he has released four full-length albums, once of which was nominated for a Grammy award. Morgan has performed across the United States during his live show tours, though he still calls Cincinnati home.
